The Spaniard can become the new permanent head coach of the Blues.

Chelsea are thinking about hiring ex-Barca boss Xavi as their next permanent manager. The team from Stamford Bridge is looking for a new head coach after the dismissal of Liam Rosenior, with Calum McFarlane at the helm at the moment as interim manager.

The West London club is reviewing its head coaching situation after the failure with Liam’s appointment. The only positive thing for Chelsea in the current campaign is reaching the FA Cup final.

Because of that, Rosenior became the latest manager to leave the team one way or another, and now the Blues must find a new permanent manager to lead the club. The favorite at the moment is the former Catalan boss Xavi as the directors of the Blues see him as a manager whose principles align with the proactive, possession-based style the side has right now.

The Spaniard won LaLiga during his 3-season tenure with Barcelona before leaving the Catalan team 2 years ago. Fabregas is another name that the chiefs in west London want, but he is unlikely to leave Como after the end of the season.
