Magic shock top-seeded Pistons to win Game 1 from the series

Paolo Banchero finished with 23 points, 9 boards, and 4 assists to lead the 8th-seeded Orlando Magic to a 112-101 victory against the top-seeded Detroit Pistons in Game 1 of their 1st-round matchup, extending the longest home postseason losing streak in league history.

The Pistons have dropped 11 consecutive home matches in the playoffs, a drought that dates in the past 18 years.

Detroit will have another opportunity vs. the Magic on Wednesday to tie the series.

Pistons’ Cade Cunningham notched a postseason career-high 39 points, and Tobias Harris scored 17 points for the top-seeded team in the East, but the rest of the players were limited on offense for Detroit.

Detroit hasn’t advanced beyond the 1^st round in the playoffs for almost 20 years, while Orlando hasn’t since 2010.
