The London derby was a bad one for Spurs, who are winless in five straight games

The injury crisis took its toll on Tottenham as Spurs lost their fourth game in five rounds, letting West Ham win 2-1.

Spurs scored first after just 11 minutes when Pedro Porro crossed superbly and fellow defender Cristian Romero headed in to make it 1-0.

Tottenham could have doubled ten minutes before the break. Then Giovanni Lo Celso entered the visitors’ penalty area and shot, but Lukasz Fabianski intervened. The second half was the opposite of the first and West Ham punished the home team’s mistakes without allowing any problems in front of their own goal.

Seven minutes after the start of the second half, the score became 1-1. A double ricochet sent the ball into the path of Jared Bowen and the winger’s weaker right-foot shot left Vicario no chance.

With exactly 20 minutes to go, Richarlison missed a clear chance for Spurs and his mistake was punished 4 minutes later. A Tottenham defender returned the ball too weakly to Vicario, who reached out to catch it with his hands. However, the Italian was surprised by James Ward-Prowse – with his first shot, the Englishman sent the ball into the post, but then it returned to him and the former Southampton player sent it into the empty goal for 1:2.
