As the San Francisco 49ers are in the process of making everything possible to ink Brandon Aiyuk to a long-term deal extension, they secured another crucial player.

Restricted free agent Jauan Jennings, who has become the franchise’s reliable 3rd receiver choice, agreed to a 2-year deal with San Francisco that will keep him with the 49ers through the 2025 campaign.
The wide receiver didn’t ink his restricted free agent tender and instead did this contract, which is akin to a 1-year extension.
The deal is worth almost 15.5 million dollars, featuring 10.5 million dollars guaranteed.
Jauan was not part of the organization’s activities because he was technically not under the deal as he and the 49ers discussed a new contract. The NFL organization from the Bay placed the 2nd-round tender on the receiver 2 months ago, which allowed Jauan to look elsewhere for a new contract, but San Francisco would have the opportunity to match any outside offer or get a 2nd-round pick if they didn’t match.
