Bayern on verge of re-signing Boateng as free agent

Bayern Munich are currently in advanced talks to acquire Jerome Boateng as free agent, reports say.

The legendary defender has agreed to return to the Allianz Arena, where he spent 10 seasons and the deal is expected to be completed within the next 2 days.

Boateng has been training with the Bavarians lately as they look to lure him back as cover-up in central defense.

The 35-year-old has been without a club ever since his contract expired at Lyon this June.

He has made 363 appearances for the Bavarians in total, winning 9 Bundesliga titles, 2 Champions Leagues and 5 DFB-Pokals.

Bayern’s main man in defense Matthijs de Ligt and Thomas Tuchel is looking for a potential replacements and so far Boateng seems to be the prime candidate.
