Last season's MVP continues to show his amazing skills, leading Philly to 110-97 win

Returning from a sprained right ankle, Joel Embiid showcased an impressive performance with 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. Accompanied by Tyrese Maxey’s 21 points, the Philadelphia 76ers secured a 110-97 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.

Embiid’s absence during the 76ers’ holiday road trip, where they went 2-2, highlighted his importance. In a recent match against the Bulls, a 105-92 loss, Philadelphia struggled without Embiid, who missed all four games of the trip. However, his return had a significant impact, turning the game into an early blowout.

Despite the Bulls playing well in the absence of injured guard Zach LaVine, who is expected to return on Friday, they couldn’t withstand the dominance of Embiid and the Sixers. The Bulls’ record fell to 10-6 for the season without LaVine, emphasizing the challenge they faced in this particular matchup.

The Bulls were paced by DeMar DeRozan, who contributed 16 points to the team’s effort. Andre Drummond, on the other hand, recorded 11 points and an impressive 17 rebounds but experienced a notable moment of misfortune when he failed to complete a dunk, much to the amusement of the home crowd, as he was thwarted by the front of the rim. Additionally, forward Patrick Williams had to exit the game due to an injured right ankle.
