James: Lakers’ matchup against Nuggets not about past

Denver Nuggets swept the LA Lakers in the Western Conference finals en route to win the title in the past year and Los Angeles defeated Denver  in the conference finals on their way to the championship in 2020, LeBron James believes that the past has nothing to do with the upcoming postseason series in the 1^st round.

“For me, you’re putting a little bit too much emphasis on it,” LeBron shared after training when asked about the rematch factor for the 2 organizations. “This is our 1^st-round series. Without a doubt, we can’t wait for the playoffs to begin. But in my mindset, I’m not looking forward to the rematch. What happened last season will not have any effect on us, and we will show our best in the playoffs no matter who our opponent is.”
