Mbappe shares his excitement to play under Zidane in France

Kylian Mbappe has revealed how happy he is to reunite with Zinedine Zidane, describing the hiring of the new France national team coach as a cinematic moment. The two first met when Zinedine invited a young Kylian to trial at the Royal club over a decade ago, and they will now work together after Didier Deschamps’ departure.

The current French superstar shared about his history with Zidane: “Zinedine was the 1^st person who picked me up to take me to Los Blancos, to the training ground. I was 13 or 14, so it happened a very long time ago. Now Zidane is my national team manager; it’s like a film, but it feels phenomenal. It is reality.”

Mbappe added that Les Bleus will start a new chapter, and they have 2 years to prepare for the Euro 2028. Kylian added that the focus is now on the upcoming 4 matches in the Nations League and that, after these games, they will know more, as the players were used to Deschamps, but now things will be different; there is no doubt that it will go well.
