The 32-year-old will leave the Nashville team after 4-year stint
The Nashville Predators have decided to buy out Matt Duchene’s 3-years left in his contract and have made him a free agent.
Duchene is the latest player to leave the Predators after former coach Barry Trotz took over the club. Ryan Johansen was also traded to Colorado earlier this month.
The 32-year-old signed a 7-year-contract back in 2019, worth $56m in total.
The Predators are aiming to balance their salary cap and that is the reason they decided to let him go.
Duchene made 71 appearances last season, scoring 22 goals and capping 34 assists along with 56 points.
