Derek Carr expressed his turbulent emotions concerning his former club Las Vegas Raiders, which he left in the offseason.
Carr started 142 games with the Raiders in nine years and was infamously benched with two matches remaining at the end of last season.
The quarterback now addressed the issue, stating that he felt “mad” as he wanted to play in those games more than ever.
It was also revealed the Raiders would have been on the hook for $40 million that would become guaranteed money if Carr couldn’t pass a physical.
In his nine years with the team Carr threw for 35,222 yards, 217 touchdowns and 99 interceptions. While the Raiders went 63–79 during that stretch, Carr led 33 game-winning drives and 28 comebacks while being named to four Pro Bowls.
