Toronto activate Kirk, send Heineman to Triple-A

The Toronto Blue Jays have triggered catcher Alejandro Kirk from the injury list and put catcher Tyler Heineman to AAA Buffalo, the Canadian MLB franchise shared today.

Alejandro hasn’t played since June 18^th after being struck by a pitch in the left hand that put him on the injury list.

Kirk’s stats this season include .253/.337/.331 with 3 homers and 21 runs batted in In 59 matches this campaign. Alejandro was named an All-Star and a Silver Slugger in the past year.

Tyler’s stats for this campaign are .313/.450/.375 in 9 matches. He also appeared in 10 matches with Toronto last campaign.

Blue Jays will finish their matchup vs. the San Francisco Giants on Thursday night before facing the Boston Red Sox in Canada at the weekend.
