Both New Orleans players each notched 26 points for the victory against Los Angeles.

Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram each finished with 26 points, and the New Orleans Pelicans defeated LA Lakers 129-109 at Smoothie King Center.

The Lakers were coming off a 108-106 defeat against the Grizzlies yesterday, while the Pelicans had 48 hours to rest after winning against the Jazz at their venue on Thursday.

LeBron James notched 34 points, and former New Orleans star  Anthony Davis had 20 points and 10 boards, but it was not enough, and the NBA franchise from California was defeated for the 7th time in 9 matches.

CJ McCollum helped with 22 points for the home organization’s victory.

That was the 1st match between these 2 teams since Los Angeles routed the Pelicans 133-89 in the In-Season Tournament ½ final in Las Vegas at the beginning of December.

That was the 4th time this campaign that the Pelicans “Big Three” — Williamson, Ingram, and McCollum — each notched at least 20 points in 1 match. New Orleans triumphed in all of these games.
