2023 NFL Draft week apply record with 43 trades

Houston Texans had the 1^st trade in the drafting week that ended up with a record after 43 deals had been made at the end of it.

During the 3 days of the 2023 NFL Draft, franchises agreed to 43 swaps and beat the 2019 record with 40 trades.

Houston ended up picking 2^nd and 3^rd on Thursday after the trade with Arizona Cardinals. Texans added QB C.J. Stroud from Ohio and LB Will Anderson Jr. from Alabama with their picks.

Five more teams made on-the-clock trades in the 1^st round.

Arizona also traded 1^st on the second day of the draft. Cardinals acquired 2 picks – 41^st and 72^nd, and 3^rd round selections for the next year’s draft and gave Tennessee Titans 33^rd pick that drafted QB Will Levis from Kentucky.
