Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia got the silver medal (22.08) as another American sprinter Brittany Brown won the bronze medal.
Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith and Daryll Neita finished within 3-hundredths of a second of making the podium at the 200m sprint as neither of them was able to become the 1st British woman to make an Olympic sprint podium for 64 years.
Julien Alfred, who finished 2nd, triumphed with the gold medal at the 100m but failed to make a double as Gabby was too fast for her at the longer distance.
