Jude Bellingham’s role at the Spanish giants will not change after Kylian Mbappe’s arrival, reveals head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Jude (21) appeared in an advanced role for Real Madrid in his debut campaign, netting 23 goals in 42 matches as they triumphed with La Liga and the UCL.
French forward, Mbappe (25), joined Los Blancos in the current transfer window on a free transfer from PSG.
Carlo denied Jude would play in a deeper role to accommodate Kylian, claiming: “Nothing changes for Bellingham. Nothing changes.
“In the 1st campaign, Jude surprised a lot because he showed fantastic quality, a really mature for his age. The next campaign will not be different.
“Bellingham is going to be 1 of the best footballers we have, supporting the team very well with his quality.”
Ancelotti added that Jude played well at the Euro 2024 despite the critics about his performance at the tournament with England.
Ancelotti: “I’m in contact with Bellingham but I got mad at him yesterday. He didn’t pick up the phone. But when I asked Vinicius to call him, he answered right away” *laughs* pic.twitter.com/JazoRSxHz1
