Chicago Blackhawks beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-1 on their Monday night clash as Corey Perry, Tyler Johnson and MacKenzie Entwistle each scored in the second period to give the Hawks a solid lead they managed to keep until the end.
Taylor Raddysh added an empty-netter for Chicago afterwards, while Arvid Soderblom was solid on goal, making total of 36 stops. Andreas Athanasiou added two assists for Chicago’s victory.
The 18-year-old Blackhawks rookie Connor Bedard, the No. 1 overall pick in the NHL draft, recorded a point in each of his first three games, but was held off the scoresheet Monday.
