Boston won against Carolina in a shootout at PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC.

David Pastrnak scored 2 goals and reached the 50-goal mark as his team is in a series of 7 victories in a row.

Both forwards Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand missed the game, and Pastrnak made the most of it.

“I’ve been learning from those guys,” Pastrnak said. “You recognize when they’re not here that you have to take a step forward.”

Coyle and DeBrusk notched in the shootout as the other goal for the team was scored by Lauko. With this win, Boston Bruins are 6 wins shy of holding the all-time NHL record for victories in the regular season. However, they have 9 matches left to try to do it.

Drury, Skjei, and Aho notched for Carolina Hurricanes. Frederik Andersen made 35 saves.

Boston will play against Nashville Predators at home on Tuesday, while Carolina will host Tampa Bay Lightning on the same day.
