New York keeps pushing for the 2nd seed in the East after the victory.

Jalen Brunson finished with 39 points for 3 quarters and the NY Knicks kept up their quest to finish with the 2nd seed in the East by winning against the Boston Celtics 118-109 at TD Garden in Boston, MA.

Twenty-four hours after securing a postseason spot, New York pulled within a match of the Milwaukee Bucks for 2nd, with each organization having 2 matches until the end of the regular-campaign. Knicks must triumph in both and Milwaukee to be defeated by the OKC and the Magic, because the Bucks has the head-to-head advantage.

Jalen shot 15 of 23 from the field and 6 of 11 beyond the arc. Donte DiVincenzo scored 17 points for the win, and Josh Hart added 16. Bojan Bogdanovic helped the Knicks from the bench with 14 points.

Jayson Tatum notched 18 points for Celtics. Payton Pritchard notched 16 points from the bench nd Jaylen Brown and Sam Hauser each finished with 15.

The Knicks welcome the Nets at Madison Square Garden in the Big Apple derby on Friday, while Boston faces the Hornets at TD Garden on the same night.
