It was the fourth playoff game in a row for Jalen Brunson with 40 or more points

Jalen Brunson’s playoff heroics continued with a remarkable 43-point performance, marking his fourth consecutive game with 40 or more points, as the New York Knicks secured a thrilling 121-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference second-round series on Monday night.

Donte DiVincenzo was instrumental in the Knicks’ comeback, scoring 21 of his 25 points in the second half, while Josh Hart delivered a stellar all-around performance with 24 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists. Isaiah Hartenstein and OG Anunoby contributed 13 points each, with Anunoby also grabbing nine rebounds.

Despite a valiant effort from the Pacers, led by Myles Turner’s 23 points and Pascal Siakam’s 19 points, they couldn’t hold off the Knicks’ late surge. T.J. McConnell added 18 points, while Aaron Nesmith and Obi Toppin each chipped in 12 points for Indiana. Andrew Nembhard rounded out the Pacers’ scoring with 11 points.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for Wednesday night in New York, where the Knicks will look to extend their lead. Brunson’s historic scoring streak has propelled him into elite company, joining NBA legends Jerry West, Bernard King, and Michael Jordan as one of only four players to achieve four consecutive 40-point games in playoff history.
