Brown scored 33 points in Boston’s triumph.

Jaylen Brown notched 33 points and the league-leading Boston Celtics triumph in their 8th consecutive match, defeating the short-handed Detroit Pistons 129-102 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI.

The Celtics improved to 56-15 — a .800 winning %. Pistons are tied with the Wizards at the bottom of NBA at 12-58 — 44 matches behind Boston.

Peyton Pritchard scored 20 points and Derrick White added 19 points and 11 assists. Jayson Tatum missed the match to rest an ankle for 2nd time in 5 days, also missing a 119-94 win at the beginning of the week.

James Wiseman had a campaign-high 24 points for the Pistons, and Jaden Ivey added 16. Detroit has lost 9 consecutive matches vs. Celtics.

Detroit couldn’t count on Duren, Umude, Fontecchio, Stewart, and Thompson, as even before the beginning of the game, it became clear that the Pistons would need a miracle to beat Boston, and that didn’t happen.

Boston will face the Bulls in Chicago tomorrow, while Detroit will welcome the Pelicans at the end of the weekend.
