OKC acquired Gordon from the Hornets at the trade deadline.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are getting Gordon Hayward from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for guard Tre Mann and forward Davis Bertans.

Gordon has not been playing since December 26th due to problems in both legs, and Charlotte didn’t share any details on when we can expect him to return to the court. He has struggled to stay healthy since breaking his leg 5 years ago; Hayward has not appeared in more than 50 matches in the 4 campaigns he has been with Charlotte.

However, when Gordon plays, his stats are still impressive, averaging almost 15 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists in 25 matches since the beginning of the campaign. Over the last 2 years, the Hornets have been more than 4 points per 100 possessions better with him when he plays.

Gordon is making almost 32 million dollars this campaign, the last year of his contract, and will be a free agent after the end of the season.
