The Pittsburgh Penguins appointed Wes Clark as their vice president of player personnel today, reuniting him with president and GM Kyle Dubas.
Wes spent the past 6 campaigns with the Maple Leafs, mostly recently running the organization’s draft as director of player personnel in the past campaign and director amateur scouting in the previous 2 years.
Pittsburgh announced that Clark would be overseas the franchise’s amateur, professional, and college/European scouting structures. Wes will work under Kyle, who parted ways with Toronto last offseason before joining his new team.
The new addition to the Penguins staff 1st worked with the current Pittsburgh president and general manager as director of player personnel and development with the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds for 5 years as the period was between 2011 and 2015.
Wes Clark, the big decision-maker at the Leafs’ draft the last few years, has joined the Pittsburgh Penguins as VP of player personnel.
