Clark leaves Maple Leafs to re-join Dubas with Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins appointed Wes Clark as their vice president of player personnel today, reuniting him with president and GM Kyle Dubas.

Wes spent the past 6 campaigns with the Maple Leafs, mostly recently running the organization’s draft as director of player personnel in the past campaign and director amateur scouting in the previous 2 years.

Pittsburgh announced that Clark would be overseas the franchise’s amateur, professional, and college/European scouting structures. Wes will work under Kyle, who parted ways with Toronto last offseason before joining his new team.

The new addition to the Penguins staff 1^st worked with the current Pittsburgh president and general manager as director of player personnel and development with the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds for 5 years as the period was between 2011 and 2015.

Wes Clark, the big decision-maker at the Leafs’ draft the last few years, has joined the Pittsburgh Penguins as VP of player personnel.
