The 1st set was very competitive as the Argentinian, world number 61, had his chance to win it in the tiebreak, but Nole showed why he is the best in the world and won straight points to close the set successfully.
In the 2nd set, there was no doubt who was the better player on the court as Djokovic triumphed 6-2 to win his first match in the Italian capital and advance to the next round, where the defending champions will face Grigor Dimitrov.
