The San Francisco team ran riot and deservedly won

The San Francisco Giants destroyed the Colorado Rockies 9-1 in their clash on Saturday night.

It was certainly a game to remember for Logan Webb as he pitched six scoreless innings for first victory in over a month, while Thairo Estrada homered and had 3 RBIs.

Mike Yastrzemski had four hits and two RBIs, and J.D. Davis singled twice for San Francisco.

It was an important win for the Giants, who have now registered a second consecutive win after going on six-game losing streak. They are now 2 1/2 games behind the D-backs for the third NL card.

“It’s a signal of durability, a signal of trust from the coaching staff to Logan, the team to Logan,” Giants manager Gabe Kapler said. “We haven’t scored enough runs for him, and there’s been some times where we haven’t played the best defense behind him.”
