Eddie is expected to leave the Magpies soon with immediate effect.

Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe is set to leave the side in the upcoming hours.

He came under pressure in the past campaign as the Magpies finished 12th in the EPL after losing 17 of their 38 matches. Howe’s final game in charge was a 4-1 loss by Briston City in a pre-season game yesterday.

Matthias Jaissle, head coach of the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, is expected to replace him.

Eddie joined Newcastle in November 2021, only about 30 days after the Saudi Public Investment Fund bought the team. The manager was not happy with the transfers so far this summer, despite the fact that he knew that key players would be sold.

A few months ago, Eddie decided to remain with the Magpies regardless of the fact that one of the best footballers in the club would leave during the summer, but his perspective changed recently.

The side from St James’ Park spent almost 250 million pounds on new footballers last summer, but Howe was not happy after the club sold forward Alexander Isak to Liverpool.

Newcastle has already lost 2 key footballers in the current transfer window – Sandro Tonali joined Spurs, while Anthony Gordon will play for Barcelona. Captain Bruno Guimaraes can also leave soon to join Arsenal.
