Nearly 900 supporters of Liverpool have filed a lawsuit against UEFA, reports “Reuters”. The lawsuit is over “injuries resulting from the chaos before the final” of the Champions League between the Reds and Real Madrid in Paris last year.
Law firm Leigh Day revealed that they have filed a lawsuit against UEFA and the UEFA company that organizes the events under the auspices of the European football powerhouse. The claim is on behalf of 887 people.
Two other law firms, Pogust Goodhead and Binghams Solicitors, have also announced they are representing Liverpool fans who also intend to sue UEFA.
Last month, UEFA officially admitted that they had made serious mistakes in organizing the final and announced that they would compensate all Liverpool fans by refunding their ticket money.
