Inter Milan stretched their lead at the top of Serie A to 18 points with a slender 1-0 victory against Champions League contenders Bologna.
Yann Bisseck, the German center-back, nodded in the only goal of the match from Alessandro Bastoni’s delivery eight minutes before halftime.
This 12th consecutive triumph across all competitions further solidifies Inter’s position ahead of Juventus’ home clash with Atalanta on Sunday (17:00 GMT).
Despite only suffering their second home defeat of the season, Bologna remains in fourth place.
Although the hosts dominated much of the second half, they couldn’t break through Simone Inzaghi’s resilient side, which has conceded a mere 13 goals in 28 league games.
This triumph marks Inter’s 10th consecutive league win, a feat they have achieved only three times in their history, as they march relentlessly towards their 20th Serie A title.
In the meantime, fifth-placed Roma has the opportunity to narrow the gap to Bologna to just one point when they face Fiorentina on Sunday evening.
