Richardson leads USA to 4×100 relay to Olympic gold

For Sha’Carri Richardson, this was an unforgettable relay through the rain.

Sha’Carri secured her 1^st Olympic gold medal with a come-from-behind anchor leg for the USA in the Olympic women’s 4×100 today.

“It is a phenomenal feeling for all of us,” Sha’Carri revealed after the triumph.

The U.S. team got 1^st place in 41.78 seconds, good for a .07-second victory against Britain, which lost time with 2 baton changes in the rain.

“Passing the baton to Richardson is an unforgettable experience,” Thomas shared. ” Sha’Carri is so fast, and we know that we can achieve the gold medal when she receives the baton.”
