For Sha’Carri Richardson, this was an unforgettable relay through the rain.
Sha’Carri secured her 1st Olympic gold medal with a come-from-behind anchor leg for the USA in the Olympic women’s 4×100 today.
“It is a phenomenal feeling for all of us,” Sha’Carri revealed after the triumph.
The U.S. team got 1st place in 41.78 seconds, good for a .07-second victory against Britain, which lost time with 2 baton changes in the rain.
“Passing the baton to Richardson is an unforgettable experience,” Thomas shared. ” Sha’Carri is so fast, and we know that we can achieve the gold medal when she receives the baton.”
Thomas participated in the 3rd leg and won her 2nd gold at the Olympics, this 1 going with the 200-meter trophy.
