“Henry Blackburn is a great player who played a fantastic match,” the Colorado head coach claimed today. “Henry made an exceptional hit on Travis on the sideline. You could call it dirty, you could call it, ‘He was just playing football.’ But no matter how you labeled it, it does not mean he should be getting death threats.
“That this is still a young man who is trying to achieve something — a guy wanting to live his dream and eventually graduate with honors or a degree, committed to excellence and be part of the National Football League. Blackburn does not deserve a death threat because of a match.”
Colorado’s star Hunter will be out of the field for several weeks as he suffered a lacerated liver because of Blackburn’s hit.
