The Seattle Kraken re-inked defenseman Vince Dunn to a 4-campaign, 29.4 million dollar deal, as he will remain in the franchise after having the best campaign in his life in the past year.
Vince had a career-high 14 goals and earned 64 points in the regular campaign as he appeared in the top defensive pairing for the organization. Playing with veteran Adam Larsson, Dunn experienced his best campaign, as many people expected that would happen sooner when Kraken acquired him during the expansion draft ahead of its inaugural season.

The top defenseman was a free agent, and the long-term deal avoided an arbitration hearing. The new contract will be active through the 2026-27 campaign, and his more than 7 million dollars annual average is the highest financial commitment made by the franchise until this moment on a new deal. Goaltender Philipp Grubauer inked a 6-year, almost 36 million dollar contract that averages almost 6 million dollars per campaign before Kraken’s inaugural campaign in 2021-22.
