Alex DeBrincat notched the winning goal at 1:36 in the overtime to secure Ottawa Senator’s 5-4 win against Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
Philadelphia notched 3 goals in a row to secure OT, but goaltender Felix Sandstrom made a mistake behind the net and left DeBrincat to score in an empty net.

Tim Stutzle finished with an assist and goal as Watson, Pinto, and Giroux scored the other goals for the victory. Cam Talbot had 7 saves.
Sandstrom stopped 41 shots on the other net, but it was not enough for the Flyers to win. Four different players scored for Philly – DeAngelo, York Cates, and Tippett.
Philadelphia will host Buffalo Sabres on Saturday, while Ottawa will also host on the same day Toronto Maple Leafs.
