The 28-year-old became the first player since 1964 to reach base 5 times

The Los Angeles Angels were triumphant against the Baltimore Oriols 9-5 on Monday night.

Shohei Ohtani was once again the star of the show as he made history, by becoming the first player since 1964 to reach base five times.

He had four hits and a walk to compensate for his sloppy pitching outing in which he allowed five runs in seven innings. He hit a 456-foot, three-run homer and finished just a double away from the cycle.

Chad Wallach had a solo homer for the Angels.

Adam Frazier and Anthony Santander each added two-run homers and Cedric Mullins hit a solo shot for the Baltimore team. Orioles rookie Grayson Rodriguez (2-1) allowed eight runs and nine hits in 3 1/3 innings.
