Led by manager Lionel Scaloni and Ángel Di María, who played in his last match for his country in the final when they beat Colombia 1-0, the players and the coaching staff arrived to a firework display and the supporters celebrating their 16th title at the tournament.
Leo remained in Miami, where the match for the trophy was held, to have treatment on a right ankle problem sustained in the match.
The Inter Miami superstar revealed his condition on social media: “The Copa América ended, and the 1st thing I want is to give my gratitude to everyone for the messages and greetings.
“I’m all right, thank God, and I believe I can soon play football again, enjoying what I like to do most. I’m happy, very happy, especially because we won Copa America and Fide [Di Maria] leaves us but with another title.”
