The Seagulls defeated the Sky Blues in the Premier League.

Brighton completed a comeback to win 2-1 against Manchester City in the EPL as that was the Sky Blues 4th consecutive defeat in all tournaments – something that had never happened before with Guardiola as their manager.

The Sky Blues were in a series of 3 straight defeats in all tournaments before the match today. With Pep Guardiola as head coach, Man City have never lost 4 consecutive games and it was clear that the players will be motivated to avoid another defeat.

That’s exactly what happened and the only goal in the 1st half scored Erling Haaland in the 23rd minute after Manchester City started the match very well. After that, however, the Seagulls started to play better and Dany Welbeck had a fantastic opportunity to tie the result but he missed and the half ended with 1-goal lead for the visitors.

In the 2nd half, however, there was only 1 team on the pitch. Brighton dominated but missed chance after chance until the 78th minute when Joao Pedro scored to tie the result. Only 5 minutes later, the Seagulls made a full comeback when Matt O’Riley scored after Pedro’s assist.
