Brooks Koepka shares that he did his best in majors because of their ruthless challenges. The PGA Championship was exactly that today in the rain at Oak Hill.
Through 54 holes at the PGA Championship, Corey Conners is in as good a spot as he could ask for.
Sitting one shot back of the lead, the Canadian has a chance to win a major 20 years after his childhood hero, Mike Weir, did the same. (@adam_stanley) https://t.co/Q9AiTMIheP

Koepka played his best golf even during heavy rain, but now he must finish successfully. Brooks failed with that task in April at the Masters when he blew a 2-shot lead, and Jon Rahm won in the end by 4.
“I know what I did,” Brooks claimed. “I promise I will not do anything like that tomorrow.”
Corey Conners is playing at the Championship like it is the U.S. Open as he started with 2 birdies and 13 pars that kept him in front most of the day, but then 1 swing changed it all.
The Canadian was in a bunker right of the 16th fairway when he struck the ball so thin that it vanished into the lip of the humid turf. Then he had to put it up for a 70.
