Chicago Bears rookie QB Tyson Bagent will start his 4th match in a row in the place of Justin Fields, who is still sidelined with an injury.
Despite Justin being listed as doubtful for the team’s Thursday match vs. the Carolina Panthers on Chicago’s final injury report, manager Matt Eberflus shared that the Bears starting QB will not play.
Bears QB Justin Fields has not been cleared to play in Chicago’s “Thursday Night Football” clash with the Panthers and Tyson Bagent will start, Matt Eberflus said.

“We got to give him 1 more day,” the head coach claimed, clarifying why the starting quarterback is listed as doubtful rather than ruled out. “Give him 1 more day. But Fields is working hard, and it’s getting better every day, so hopefully we can count on him very soon.”
Justin has not been cleared by the organization’s doctors but was listed as a limited participant in practice in recent days, 2 days of which were walk-throughs. The Bears boss added that Fields has had no setbacks in his thumb and “may” go through a prematch workout.
