Medvedev lifted the trophy in Miami, which is his 4th title in 2023. The Russian played in his fifth final in a row, and the only player that stopped him was Carlos Alcaraz in Indian Wells.

However, Alcaraz was eliminated in the ½ final by Jannik Sinner, but the Italian could not win the trophy against Daniil.
Medvedev won the 1st set 7-5 and the 2nd set 6-3. However, Sinner had a problem with injury in the second set and was not competitive enough, so the Russian won it pretty quickly.

That was the 6th match between Medvedev and Sinner, and the Russian won all of them. These two were opponents earlier this year in another final in Rotterdam, where Daniil won 2-1 sets after losing the 1st set from the Italian.
