Both players converted 1 break in the 1st set, and it was decided after a tiebreak, as Nole was able to win it 7-4 points.
The same thing happened in the 2nd set as both Nole and Holger converted a break each, and again, the set was decided in a tiebreak. However, this time, the Scandinavian player dominated and won the 1st 6 points in the tiebreak and closed the 2nd set with 7-1 points.
In the deciding set, Djokovic showed why he is the best player in the world and converted 2 break points from 4 opportunities while allowing only 1 break point to Rune, which he converted, but it was not enough for anything more than a 6-3 defeat in the 3rd set.
