The LA team had to dig deep to salvage a win

The Los Angeles Dodgers came out on top in their clash against the San Francisco Giants 3-2 in a hard-fought match on Sunday night.

Chris Taylor proved to be the hero for the NL West champion as his RBI single in the 10th inning put his team in front and eventually secured them victory.

The 33-year-old had an excellent performance as he was 0 for 3 with a strikeout. He connected off a 100-mph pitch from Camilo Dorval  to drive in Rosario and give the Dodgers their sixth win  in extra-inning games this season.

The Giants loaded the bases in the top of the 10th. Pinch-hitter Mitch Haniger was the designated runner at second to start the inning. After J.D. Davis struck out, Joc Pederson was intentionally walked by Shelby Miller.

Eventually the Dodgers emerged out victorious with a fantastic inning-ending double play.

The results means the Giants have lost 8 out of their last 10 matches on the road and they have been outscored 60-33.
