The Anaheim team finally ends its rotten run

The Anaheim Ducks edged out the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 in a dramatic fashion with a shootout goal on Saturday night.

Rookie Leo Carlsson stole the spotlight as he had an amazing game with a goal and assists and, the cherry on top, provided the shootout winner for Anaheim.

Goaltender John Gibson also had a game to remember, on a night, where he surpassed Jean-Sebastien Giguere for most games played by a goaltender in Ducks history, he made 34 saves, including all three in the shootout.

“Obviously, being on that losing streak, we had to get out of it sooner or later and we needed everybody to step up and we did. We found a way,” Gibson said.

Alex Killorn scored his 200th career goal and became the second player selected in the third round or later of the 2007 draft to reach that milestone. Adam Henrique added a goal of his own.
