The Italian Champions await the winner of Juventus-Milan semi-final

Inter secured a spot in the Italian Super Cup final with a 2-0 victory over Atalanta, thanks to a standout performance from defender Denzel Dumfries, who scored both goals.

Dumfries broke the deadlock in the 49th minute, capitalizing on a set-piece situation to score from close range. Although Atalanta protested, claiming a foul on Giorgio Scalvini, the referee allowed the goal to stand.

Inter doubled their lead in the 61st minute with a stunning counterattack. Dumfries fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance and putting the Nerazzurri firmly in control.

Atalanta thought they had pulled one back in the 72nd minute when Ederson found the net after a chaotic scramble in the box, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Despite late pressure from the Bergamo side, Inter’s goalkeeper Jan Sommer made two crucial saves to deny Atalanta and preserve the clean sheet.

Inter now awaits the winner of the Juventus vs. Milan clash to determine their opponent in the final.
