Elfyn Evans (Great Britain) won Rally Croatia, round four of the World Rally Championship. The victory was the first for the 34-year-old Welsh driver in 18 months. His last triumph was in Finland in 2021.
However, the celebrations were limited following the death last week of Irishman Craig Breen. The Hyundai team driver died in a crash earlier this month during testing for Rally Croatia.
That one was for you, Craig. 🇮🇪

Elfyn Evans’ success saw him level at the top of the overall standings with his French team-mate Sebastien Ogier on 69 points each. “We’ve been working on this for a long time, but what’s surprising is how little it means at this point.” We’re missing our friend, and after the weekend’s concentration and right after the final, that’s the only thing we’re all thinking about,” Evans said, referring to the Breen tragedy.
