Taxi faced 'credible' racism allegations.

D.C. United and forward Taxi Fountas decided to part ways as his deal with the side was terminated after allegations that he used a racial slur against his teammate Nigel Robertha.

The soccer team from the US capital was keen to end his deal after the allegations that happened in last month’s clash in the MLS vs. New England Revolution. The racism scandal happened in the 2nd half.

“DCU and Taxi Fountas have mutually agreed to end his deal, effective immediately,” the MLS club shared on social media.

D.C. United added that Major League Soccer suspended the forward after the allegations were considered credible, and that’s something that from the league can’t tolerate.

The soccer side also wrote that they don’t tolerate any kind of racism, and they will act immediately and investigate any kind of suspension of racism as they will also punish according to the credibility.
