The safety has remained a free agent since New Orleans released him during the offseason.
Maye inked a 3-year, almost 23 million dollar deal with the Saints as a free agent 2 years ago, but he has been sidelined in as many matches (17) as he appeared in (17) in 2 campaigns. That features a 3-match suspension.
Marcus (31) played his 1st 5 campaigns with the Jets after they selected him at the 2017 NFL Draft during the 2nd-round.
In 77 matches in the NFL, the safety has totaled 409 tackles, 8 picks, 28 passes defensed, 5 forced fumbles and almost 5 sacks.
Miami upgraded their secondary after the end of the last campaign with the additions of CB Kendall Fuller and safety Jordan Poyer, and Miami now added Marcus for even greater depth.
