Kane hattrick in OT push Oilers for 4:3 win over inconsistent Kraken

Seattle were leading 3:1 with 6:32 remaining, but lost for the fifth time in six games

Evander Kane was instrumental for Edmonton on Wednesday nigh as he scored the tying goals in the third period and then completed his seventh career hat trick 2:57 into overtime, rallying the Oilers to a 4-3 win over the Seattle Kraken.

Connor McDavid also scored, Evan Bouchard had three assists and Leon Draisaitl had two. Oilers were trailing by two goals, but made a comeback to win their third straight.

Jared McCann, Alex Wennberg and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare all scored in the second period to give Seattle a 3-1 lead, which looked to be enough. Joey Daccord finished with 28 saves as the Kraken lost for the fifth time in six games (1-3-2), despite the good lead they had for the majority of the game.

Kane pulled the Oilers within one with 6:32 remaining in the third and tied it with just 46 seconds remaining and Skinner pulled for the extra man, and won it in the extra period as he got a crossing pass from Zach Hyman and beat Daccord for his seventh goal of the season.
