World number 5 Daniil Medvedev won against world number 5, Jannik Sinner, 3-2 sets and reached the ½ finals at the Grand Slam on grass in London, where he will face either Alcaraz or Paul.
The 1st set was decided after a tiebreak as both players didn’t have any break chances. The tiebreak was spectacular as the Russian had several chances to go ahead but blew them all and in the end, the Italian won it 9 to 7 points. However, Daniil showed better tennis in the 2nd set, as he had 3 break opportunities and converted 1 while keeping his opponent again without a break chance.

In the 3rd set, Jannik and Daniil both converted 1 break and the set was decided after a tiebreak again, but time Medvedev won it to take 2-1 sets lead. Shockingly, Sinner answered with 6-2 in the 4th set as the world number 1 won the set for only 25 minutes to tie the sets.
In the 5th set, Daniil broke Jannik’s serve to take a 3-1 game lead, and that was enough for Medvedev to close the set and to win the match and to advance to the ½ finals at Wimbledon.
