The New Jersey Devils will keep another very important player from the past year’s franchise, reinking forward Timo Meier to an 8-season, 70.4 million dollars deal that through the 2030-31 National Hockey League campaign.

GM Tom Fitzgerald shared the restricted free agent deal today, as the contract was signed hours before the 2023 NHL Draft.
Meier will receive almost 9 million dollars annually, with the contract starting at 12 million dollars this upcoming campaign and finishing with 7.2 million dollars in the last season.
“I have to praise the players, our core players who continue to pull us ahead and show the rest of the NHL that we have championship caliber team that soon will compete for the Stanley Cup,” the general manager claimed. “So again, I risked everything, and I risked on what we can offer players, and we triumphed.”
