Lionel Messi spoke publicly for the first time since joining Inter Miami. The Argentine already played some games in the pink shirt and looks like he is hitting a good form, scoring 9 goals in 6 games.
“From the beginning, from my arrival, it’s been an impressive welcome that we’ve received,” Messi said.
“Today I can tell you that I am very happy with the decision we made,” Messi said at Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium. The interest in his press conference was so big that some reporters had to sit on the floor.
“Me going to Paris was neither planned nor desired,” Messi said. “I did not want to leave Barcelona, and it became difficult. But it is the opposite of what is happening to me now, thanks to God.”
He was asked about the possibility to win another Ballon d’Or after his World Cup triumph with Argentine in Qatar last year. “You can imagine that after winning the World Cup, which was the only thing I was missing, I’m much less thinking about the Ballon d’Or.
The World Cup was my biggest prize, now I am enjoying the moment and honestly I don’t think about it. If I win it, nice, and if I don’t then nothing happens.”

Messi on his superhero celebrations:
‘My three kids are still on vacation and haven’t started school yet, so every night we watch superhero movies.
They came up with the idea and told me that whenever I have a game and score a goal, I do a superhero celebration.
But I only do… pic.twitter.com/4xlvQbAQsm
