Belal Muhammad’s nickname is “Remember the Name.” After his triumph in England, without a doubt, fans will remember it.
Belal shocked Leon Edwards with an authoritative performance that featured stifling grappling and much-improved striking to secure the welterweight belt by unanimous decision at the UFC 304 at the Co-op Live venue in Manchester, UK.

The referees gave 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46.
The clash was a rematch of their 2021 fight that finished in a no-contest after Belal sustained an accidental eye poke and could not continue. Muhammad had to wait 3 years for the rematch and capitalize the chance with a career-best performance vs. the hometown hero who failed to send the supporters home satisfied.
“Now we have a real champ in Chicago,” Muhammad claimed after his 11th straight victory.
Dana White revealed after the fight that a rematch between Belal and Leon is not in the plans for the moment, claiming the fight in Manchester “wasn’t a barnburner.
The defeat ended Leon’s 13-match unbeaten streak, the 1st blemish on his record in over 8 years.
