Both championship contenders will start next to each other on Sunday

Lando Norris will start the Singapore Grand Prix from pole position, securing a crucial advantage in the title race, with Max Verstappen joining him on the front row.

The final session of qualifying, Q3, was disrupted early by Carlos Sainz’s heavy crash, turning the session into a one-lap shootout for pole. Norris clocked a 1:29.525, earning the 299th pole position for a British driver in Formula 1 history.

Despite Red Bull’s struggles throughout the weekend, Verstappen recovered to take second on the grid. Lewis Hamilton, after finding pace in Q2, put in a strong lap in Q3 to claim third position, with his Mercedes teammate George Russell taking fourth. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc had his lap time deleted, leaving him in ninth, while Sainz will start 10th after his crash.

Sergio Perez struggled, qualifying only 13th, while Daniel Ricciardo, under pressure, was eliminated in Q1 and will start from 16th.
